ST. FRANCIS DE SALES SCHOOL: PHILADELPHIA, PA.

desk

St. Francis De Sales School was established in 1904 under the guidance of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and located at 917 S. 47th Street in southwest Philadelphia. The following are excerpts from letters written by some 5th and 8th graders to show their appreciation for your generous support for their school. Their words tell the success story of how well St. Francis prepares its students for their futures.

Ahshanti in 5th grade writes:"...I'm doing very well. Do you like to read, because I love to read! We read all the time at St. Francis de Sales..."

Amir in 5th grade writes:"...I wanted to know what inspired you to start the program CC4C and how did you start this program? Thank you for believing in our school..."

Winette in 8th grade writes: "...This school changes a person's life, it did that for me and my two older siblings who both graduated from de Sales...one of my siblings is a freshman at Brandeis University..."

Johnely in 8th grade writes: "...I came from the Dominican Republic three years ago...I did not understand any English...Now I am an 8th grader that knows how to read, write, and speak English and Spanish..."
